so... ive been slacking!!!! i was released from the hospital a week from last monday. i got approved for a pump that releases terbutaline into my leg throughout the day, and then gives me bolus doeses (larger doeses) every three hours. anyhow, i was really lucky that our insurance actually picked up 100% of this. i have to use a contraction monitor twice a day and send in the results. i have nurses i talk to after i send in the results and they are there to answer any questions i may have. its pretty cool, actually!
tomorrow (friday) we are going to have our weekly NST (non-stress test), "mini" ultrasound (where they just measure amnoitic fluid, practice breathing, etc. without doing measurements) and then a doctors visit. we will find out more about what they plan on doing. one of the nurses said they normally take people off the pump at 34 weeks -so we will pick their brains to find out what they are planning on doing. it does depend upon the doctor though. they all have different opinions- there are 4 in the practice. we don't have any real answers as of yet, but whenever i am taken off this pump i will go into labor. i messed up a dose and had 8 contractions in a half hour. so, it will be very interesting to see what happens.
im really really nervous about the actual delivery. im not scared about the girls really, but more scared about how i handle it. im just really scared of both vaginal and c-section! which is another thing- we don't know which way they will go. all the nurses in the hospital said these doctors love c-sections. both girls are head down as of the last ultrasound. so, we will see.....
